IN CHARACTER

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: You're welcome to go for it! Adachi himself is not the most affectionate person, and depending on who you are, he may either bristle at it or be awkward about it.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: It wouldn't be Tohru Adachi if he wasn't getting his butt kicked by a bunch of brats (or other powerful types). If our characters are heading towards a fight, I'm happy to plot it out with you!
RELATIONSHIPS: Friendships, for sure. Partnerships, absolutely. I'm particularly fond of Adachi cooperating with fellow detectives, officers, or investigator types. Bonus if it turns out said partner is also slimy and duplicitous and Adachi befriends a fellow villainous collaborator. Romantically, though... that's a bit more complicated. Adachi wouldn't be opposed to flings or casual encounters, but an actual romance would likely be tricky, especially considering how rotten he is deep down. Which isn't to say I'm not open to the idea, but this would need a bit of communication, planning, and buildup beforehand. In terms of preferences, M/F is preferred (M/M possible depending on character chemistry), with characters 18+.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Adachi has a Persona known as Magatsu-Izanagi. Depending on which canon point Adachi is taken from, it's also possible that the spirit of fog, Ameno-sagiri may be dormant within his mind. Either way, his mental defenses are pretty strong.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Very heavily dependent on Magatsu-Izanagi when it comes to magic. In terms of offensive skills, Lightning is its strongest affinity. It's resistant to physical damage and immune to both Light and Dark magic as well. With moves like Heat Riser and Magatsu Mandala, Adachi is also capable of strengthening either himself or his Persona through buffs. For more info on his Persona's skills, take a look here.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Very skinny for a man in his late 20s. Definitely suffers from a lack of proper nutrition in his diet. Also struggles with migraines and painful headaches, especially when summoning his Persona.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: CW: Sexual harassment, sexual assault. Adachi is not a great person. He's a misogynist in hiding, is liable to take women for granted, and does not take to rejection well at all. In canon, he's known to have sexually harassed women, and has made attempts at sexual assault / sexual coercion. If this triggers you, if he as a character makes you uncomfortable in any way, or you would prefer to avoid tagging with him altogether, please contact me and let me know, either through the screened comments below this post or through private message. Alternatively, if I tag you and you are not interested in playing with this character, you do not have to respond. Thank you.

FOURTHWALLING: Other Persona characters might be aware of Adachi (such as the members of S.E.E.S who encountered him in Ultimax, or Phantom Thieves like Joker who may have seen his interrogation on TV in December 2016). If your character is aware of Adachi's role in a video game / anime adaptation / manga adaptation / stage play / etc, please don't share that he's a fictional character.
NOT INTERESTED IN: Noncon, underage, or romantic ships that try to redeem or "fix" Adachi while glossing over his more problematic shit.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

OLFACTORY: Likely a very cheap, musky cologne. Hints of bourbon and sandalwood, if you're close enough to smell him.
DEMEANOUR: Chipper and friendly at first glance. Affable, if not a bit absent-minded. Gangly and awkward, quick to crack jokes, quicker to apologize if he appears to have said the wrong thing. Seemingly a bit of a blabbermouth. But once you get to know the real Adachi? Usually fairly lethargic, caustic, and overall unpleasant to be around. Even more of a cynical and wicked sense of humor.
